Lot- a righteous man?

Reading Genesis 19 has been always an interesting journey for the Bible’s readers. Many scenes in the movie of Genesis 19 created an Israeli movie that called – This is Sodom. For me, as a bible teacher, the scene when Lot offered his daughters to the people of Sodom instead of the angels of God made me angry, as written:
“Look, I have two daughters who have not known a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you please; but do not do anything to these men, since they have come under the shelter of my roof.” (Genesis 19:8)

Why in order to do a good thing Lot intended to do evil. Nacmanides has done it so well with his commentary by saying:” In contrast with his admirable concern for his guests, Lot apparently did not consider the abuse of his daughters a serious matter”.

I agree with Ramabn.

It seems to be that Lot wasn’t the only righteous man in Sodom, what you think about this observation- Was Lot a righteous man or not?
